Funding Opportunities

My name is Ken Sobieski, Chairman of Lehigh Valley Rescue (LVR) a non-profit organization. LVR is a 501 (C)(3) Non-Profit organization based out of Easton, PA. Our organization is being built to provide training to emergency services personnel throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Our instructors carry years of service and have passion in instructing and training emergency services personnel regardless of their status as a member of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) community, volunteer, or career firefighter.

Our organization is focused on “Vehicle Rescue” and the abilities of personnel to operate in a safe effective manner when on the streets. All emergency services personnel typically must achieve a certain level of training within any organization to remain an active member. Our goal is to provide an environment where members can continue to practice what they know, but bring the knowledge up to the next level, by learning new and advanced techniques. We often say we are adding, “Tools to your Toolbox”. What does this mean? Simply, it means that we don’t want you to forget what you have already learned, but here are some additional options that may help you while facing challenging incidents. The philosophy is if options are going to fail “Fail Fast” and move on to the next option. Training, options, and progressive planning are keys to being successful within the rescue discipline.

26 years in Information Technology have taught me that nothing is easy, and if it is it’s probably not worth it. The same applies to setting up a 501 (C)(3) organization. This has not been an easy journey to date, but we are passionate about what we are trying to accomplish and will continue to build on the foundation that has been laid.

We invite all members of the Emergency Service community to train with us, meet new people, build new relationships, and strengthen existing ones. The only thing that we ask is that participants come with an open mind, ready to learn, learn from each other, and contribute.

As a 501 (C)(3) organization our goal is to keep the costs at a minimum. Donations are welcome and would help us reach our goals and allow us to continue to build off that foundation we mentioned earlier. Equipment, insurance, rescue mannequins, and a trailer to name a few things are items we would like to purchase. The organization is also very interested in giving back. This might be to another 501 (C)(3) or putting together scholarships for training in the emergency services field or leadership fields. This may also come in the form of bringing in additional advanced level instructors\companies to provide training within the Lehigh Valley.

All donations are tax deductible, and we will provide a receipt with our EIN# for your records. If interested please email lehighvalleyrescue@gmail.com or visit our website www.lehighvalleyrescue.com/501

Thank You, from all of us at Lehigh Valley Rescue!
